Yesterday unfortunately was the dreaded day that i have been putting off for about 4 months now. I regretably had to leave St Marks and all my family in Jane Furse. Part of me is still there and will remain there forever and i know in the future ill be back. It broke my heart to have to say goodbye to all my beautiful kids and to all the friends i had made. We were all a family....
My time there was the best 7 months of my life! I cant actually comprehend just how much i have learnt and grown as a person. The things the children showed me and opened my eyes to could never have been learnt via books or back in Australia. Ke lebogile (I am grateful) for every single day that i spent with them all and they are all forever embedded in a special place in my heart.
I am going to miss all my mamas, fathers, grandfathers, gogo's, sisters and brothers in South Africa, but family we will always remain and i know ill be seeing u again.
I cant believe that i fly out of Africa on Sunday. Half of me is devastated and obviously the other half is over the moon! Going back to my life in Australia will be every different and exciting but Ill always have Africa in my blood.
To all those in Australia, I am soooo excited to be seeing you after such a long time. I have constant butterflies in my tummy. Cant wait to c u all and catch up. U are obviously going to get very sick of me blabbering on about, 'when i was in Africa..' haha but too bad! Haha there is sooo much that i have to tell and share.
